Rabbi Hanna Tiferet Siegel is a singer-songwriter and liturgical artist, who weaves together prayerful songs and thoughtful teachings in a tapestry of love and kindness. Rabbi Hanna has been blessed with the gift of writing new melodies for ancient Hebrew prayers and her healing, uplifting music is sung around the world. She has just released her 8th album,
“Tiferet * Heart of Compassion,” which invites us to bridge our differences and come together
in joyful harmony through the vibration of song and the rhythm of dance.
Rabbi Hanna Tiferet was the first woman to receive the title of “Eshet Hazon,” Woman of Vision. Her music and ministry give voice to the wisdom of the feminine and the call of Mother Earth. Ordained by Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi and a cohort of Jewish Renewal rabbis, she is a “hands on” rabbi, who learns from doing and shares what she lives. She earned her MAJS at Boston’s Hebrew College and studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem as a Melton Senior Educator. She is trained as a Soul Memory facilitator and currently serves on the Hashpa’ah Faculty of the ALEPH Rabbinical Program as a Mashpi’ah Ruchanit, a Spiritual Guide. Hanna taught for many years at Elat Chayyim and the Conference on Judaism in Rural New England. She has travelled extensively throughout the US and Canada, leading workshops and concerts.

Yeshivat Simchat Shlomo is dedicated to joyfully and practically manifesting Jewish spirituality in the world. The classes and environment we provide are inspired by our teacher, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach z”l who taught us that Judaism is a vibrant and meaningful way of life. We teach a traditional, spiritually-infused Judaism that is in constant dialogue with the complex modern world in which we live.
