Between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, it is a custom to go to a
flowing body of water to cast away our misdeeds by throwing breadcrumbs into the water.
Our custom at Ruach Hamidbar is to go out on Saguaro Lake on the
Second Day of Rosh Hashanah for Tashlikh, Shofar and a Healing Service. Please bring bread for Tashlikh, sunscreen,
water and snacks. Also, it is customary in the Sephardic tradition to “jump in” and takea mikvah.
This is optional, but please bring a bathing suit and towel if you wish to participate.
Directions: Travel north on Hwy 87/Beeline Highway to Saguaro Lake turnoff - about 8 miles north of Shea.
Turn-off road leads to the Marina.
